Fun Fact: Anna is on the Notre Dame Women's Boxing Team (Baraka Bouts).
Anna joined the Poverty Studies minor after her experience on an Urban Plunge at My Brother's Keeper in Boston, MA. She wanted to find a way to integrate service, and specifically service to the poor and underserved into her education. Eventually, she hopes to combine this with a future medical career, working in the public health side of women's healthcare. Anna has loved both of her two experiential learning trips that she has taken through the Poverty Studies minor. She has travelled to My Brother's Keeper in Boston and the Christian Appalachian Project in Kentucky. On both of these trips, Anna was able to not only gain first-hand knowledge, but also attempt to make a difference in some small way.
