Danielle Guilfoyle

Year: 2013
Hometown: Pittstown NJ
Dorm: Badin Hall
Major(s)/Minor(s): Science Preprofessional Major, Poverty Studies Minor
Danielle became a Poverty Studies minor because she saw it as a really unique supplement to her pre-veterinary studies. Danielle thinks there is a lack of sufficient education regarding disease transmission by animals and about proper livestock hygiene and management programs, especially in lower-income and developing areas. Danielle says: "There is a direct correlation between poverty and levels of disease, and I'd like to help change that."
So far during her time as a PSIM, Danielle has participated in various Social Concerns classes and a trip to Honduras to the NPH Orphanage and Ranch through Friends of the Orphans at Notre Dame.
Danielle is also a member of the Notre Dame Fencing Team!
