Dorm: Pangborn Hall

Major(s)/Minor(s): Arts & Letters Pre-Professional/Theology & Poverty Studies

Erin joined the PSIM minor after her experiences her during her first year at Notre Dame with Center for Social Concerns programs and her work with the Friends of the Orphans Club.  She saw the minor as a great way to both study the many forms of poverty that are found both domestically and internationally and to consider means of alleviation of such injustices.  Erin's favorite part of the minor has been the experiential learning components for which she has participated in the Appalchia, Urban Plunge, and Migrant Worker seminars through the Center for Social Concerns, as well as a Summer Service Learning Program at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.  Erin serves as the current President of the Friends of the Orphans Student Group and enjoys her work with the children of the Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos orphanage in Honduras.
