Lee Haruno
Lee is a Science Pre--Professional Major pursuing minors in anthropology and poverty studies. He is from Mililani, Hawaii and a resident of Dillon Hall.
He initially became involved with service and the community during his time as a Boy Scout and later through various volunteer opportunities both at home and at Notre Dame. After reading Mountains Beyond Mountains, Tracy Kidder’s eye opening biography of the incredible life and dedicated work Dr. Paul Farmer, he was inspired to explore the social potential of the medical field and the value of service in a future vocation. He also hopes to further cultivate an appreciation and understanding of the socio--economic challenges within local and larger communities through his studies and experiences as a poverty studies minor.
